I worked on a luxury resale and trade-in platform connecting a customer-facing storefront with the operational tools needed to process each item. The engineering challenge extended beyond displaying a catalogue: an item has to move through valuation, negotiation, shipping, and order management.
Two sides of the same workflow
The customer application includes product discovery, account and address management, order views, and offer-related flows. A separate operations portal gives the team tools to manage items and orders without working directly in the database.
The platform includes AI-assisted valuation workflows, condition updates, counteroffers, and requests for proof of purchase. These steps connect the commercial decision about an item to the information and documents needed to complete the transaction.
Connecting payments and logistics
Backend functions handle integrations such as shipping-label creation, return labels, payment-related events, and operational notifications. Webhook processing and reprocessing tools support workflows that cross the boundary between the application and external services.
That boundary was a substantial part of the work: the customer interface, internal portal, and integration handlers all need a consistent view of an order as it progresses.
My contribution
My work covered full-stack product development across the storefront, operations interface, and backend integrations. This case study describes the implemented workflows without exposing the client’s identity, customer information, or commercial data.
Stack: React, TypeScript, Vite, Supabase, PostgreSQL, serverless functions, payment and courier APIs.
